Brief Description: Main Gear Actuator Clearance Layup LH Wing
I spent some time checking the shape of the recess I made yesterday. I made some adjustments, sanded the bevels, then sealed the foam with q-cells. A two ply laminate is used to cover the recessed area. I decided to vacuum bag this layup to maintain the somewhat complicated shape. We shall see how it works. I did the layups on foil, one at a time then added them to the wing. I also wet out the peel ply on the table before placing it. On the "sole " of the boot shape you can see a little notch that lines up with the cap on the actuator and the tap on the landing gear trunion. I added the notch as a result of the trial fit.
