Brief Description: Elevator Balance Arm - Try number two
Made a second attempt at the elevator balance arm. This time success. 3/4 inch 4130 sq tubing with two pie shape pieces cut out of it to allow it to have two bends on 47 degree bend and one 58 degree bend. One end is notched and drilled for the elevator pushrod. The other end is drilled for the elevator counter balance. It also has two holes to mount the elevator yoke. I am sleeving the bolt holes with 5/16" tubing to keep the bolts from crushing the sq tube when torqued up. I also built the second aileron actuator fitting from 3/4" x 1.5" 4130 tube.
Pretty good the second time! You can see the 5/16" tubes
Elevator control rod attach point (still needs final finishing)
