I started on the RH flap tonight. First I layed out a line on the shear web that is 1/8 of an inch below the upper wing skin. I had already sanded the shear web flush with the upper skiin. Next I tapered the upper wing skin bottom surface per the directions. I ended up using a die grinder with a sanding disk to do this work. It removes material fast so you have to be careful. I took the meat out of the job with the die grinder then used my Permagrit blocks to true it all up. Worked good. I then started sanding on the shear web until it just cleared the wing skin. I took the RH aileron and put it in the neutral position for referece. I still have a little sanding to do next session to get the upper flap skin to clear. More tomorrow.
