Brief Description:  Aileron Inboard ribs

Made patterns for the inboard aileron ribs using slices of florists foam. Triangular wedges of this soft foam was placed between the upper and lower aileron panels and hand pressure was used to bring the panels together. This made a reasonable pattern for the ribs. I then transferred the foam shape to some 2 ply pre-cures to make the ribs. The ribs were cut out with heavy duty scissors. I bonded the ribs in place with CA. I also made patterns for the outboard ribs using manila folder cardboard. The outboard ribs I am doing using the GII instructions, using 20 lb foam. I cut these out for later.
