Added some small blocks of wood the the wing TE lower skins to help me position the lower flap and aileron skins (which start as a single skin). I marked the ailerons to the wing tips and trimmed them. I then made the marks for the aileron/flap separation line. I cut the skin into two pieces using my Fein tool which works great. I did both the left and the right side. My skins are early G1 issue so they are cusped on the bottom. I am going to flatten the ailerons because the word on the street is the aileron have much better feel if they are flat bottomed. To do this I removed the foam core from the aileron skins. I cut the inside skin over the foam with the Fein tool then started pulling the skin away. The foam was then removed using a old wood chisel at a low angle. Next I will attach the skins to a flat table, replace the foam core and two ply layup. Should result in a nice flat bottom skin. We shall see
