Brief Description: LH Wing Tip - Top Half Reinforcement
I finally got back to it! I trimmed and sanded the wing tip reinforcement (spacers) and bonded them onto the wing tip. This involved trimming the laminates that I made months ago down to the size of the wing tip wing side flanges. I then layed out the wing tip mounting holes, drilled through the tip, tip reinforcement laminates and the wing tip wing side flanges. I clecoed as I went. After everything was drilled I removed the clecos and released the reinforcement laminate from the wing tip wing side flange. This went pretty smoothly. I then placed fresh packaging tape all around the wing side flange and the adjacent surfaces. I then mixed up 20 grams of cabosil (pretty thin) to bond the wing tip upper half and to the reinforcement laminates. I spread the cabosil on the reinforcement and clecoed the wing tip to the reinforcement and the wing
