The original tail wheel and tail wheel spring designed by Rand Robinson was installed at the tail position of the fuselage. A backing plate was fabricated to act as a nut plate. It is still TBD as to whether this will be the final configuration. Most flying KRs have a longer tail spring and a larger tail wheel.
