Studied drawings and manual to determine shape of spar caps. Test fitted WAF's to see how well the spar cap thickness fits, etc. Set up the jig on the Shopsmith to taper the outer wing spar caps. Used a 1x6 and ran it through the table set to set up taper. Used a clete to clamp the spar to the board. Practiced on a 2x4 to perfect the techique. Cut and sanded spar caps to length required.
