I've never cared for the slack rudder springs in RVs, so today I began engineering a solution. I plan to rivet or bolt a 1" piece of U-channel to the firewall. Through this will pass an AN3 bolt, which will provide an attach point for two 4" springs that will attach to the inboard sides of the rudder pedals. The springs will keep the pedals pulled forward when the pilot's feet are not on them, but will be barely noticable and will not affect the throw of the pedals in any way.
