As an experiment, I added some filler material to the outboard end of the trim tab skin. I filed and sanded this filler until the space between the tab and the skin was even, then created drain hole in filler using 22-gauge wire. Realized the folly of this endeavor, since filler will certainly not last under high vibration and air loads.
