Brief Description:  R wingtip reinforcement strips; tank attach angles

Today I fabricated the remaining reinforcement strips for the inside of the R wingtip, and bonded them in using 5-minute epoxy and lots of clamps. The glue needs to cure for a full 24 hours before I'll drill the the attach holes to final size and install the nutplates.

I also took the forward wing tank attach angles off the storage shelf and began profiling them to the sides of the fuselage. As I'd noted long ago when I made them, they contact the fuselage sides in only two locations -- about where the AN4 bolts will pass through. I'd like them to sit more flush to the skin, so I began tapering the bases a bit using a belt sander. I didn't remove too much material, but even a small amount made a big difference. They're still not completely flush, but I think they're a lot better than they were before.

Attach angles still have a small gap between them and the skin. Not sure if I'll keep sanding them.
