Brief Description:  Fitered Air box

Received new filter bypass door parts from Van's. Got everything to the same stage I had it last weekend and riveted the air inlet on. Used some red RTV to form a seal between the air inlet and the air box. While trying to figure out why the location of the air bypass door control cable didn't seem right I discovered the the air inlet plate is rotated about 90 degrees clockwise from where it should be. Looked at the plans and drawings and Figure 2 in the plans is WRONG!!!!! I drilled out all the rivets and drilled new holes about 90 degrees counterclockwise. Riveted everything back in and it looks right. Too many hours for little progress. Cut the fitler to allow for the accelerator pump on the carb to fit. Once I had it where I wanted it I lubed up the pump with mold release and then gooped up the filter with red RTV and put the filter in place. Clecoed on the airbox to hold it in place. Will let it dry for a week.
