Brief Description: Aileron Adjustment, control sticks
Started by drilling out the nutplates on the fuel tank attach brackets. Had them oriented vertically instead of horizontally. Sent an email to Van's asking about it and they said to change it, so I did. Re-installed them in the correct orientation. Adjusted the aileron to bellcrank pushrod using the bellcrank jig. Tightened all nuts and torque sealed. Was going to adjust the bellcrank to control stick pushrods but had difficulty trying to install the passenger control stick into the WD612. It would not go. I removed the WD612 and attempted to install on a vice but it would not go. Finally I used the scotchbrite wheel to reduce the diameter of the control stick so that it would fit with some effort. I will drill a hole for a AN3 bolt per the Van's service bulletin. Had to primer the control stick so I quit for the day. Seemed like more effort than progress today.
