Brief Description: Begin upper cowl attachment to Skybolt flanges
Placed upper cowl onto fuselage and lined up with centerline. Skybolt instructions detail how to locate beginning holes drilled into cowl using the included pieces that are clecoed in with 1/8" holes and clecoes. Decided to start at the top center and move my way to the outside and down because the baffles hold the cowl up making taping it in place very difficult. Drilled the first two holes and clecoed in the cowl. Looks pretty good so drilled two more holes and clecoed those. At this point I used a lead shot bag to weight down the front of the cowl which then lined up the rest ot the cowl well. Drilled all remaining starter holes and clecoed in the cowl. Put another coat of flat black paint on the glareshield area.
