Prepared for final riveting on of the forward top skin. Cut some board lengths to place in the bottom of the cockpit to lay on and then put some old bath rugs on top to cushion. Cut a block of wood with a hole in the center to put over the fuel selector stem that sticks straight up right where I would have to lay over.
Joe came over and we finsihed the top 5 rivets on the skin to the subpanel. Then riveted the bottom of the skin to the longeron. Sounds so easy but it was difficult to get a bucking bar on some of the rivets. Joe did a great job running the gun. Took us about an hour and a half to do the 82 rivets we bbucked. Went far better that I had been anticipating.
