Brief Description: Caonpy Frame, Engine Mount, gear legs
Spent about 2 hours measuring, thinking, re-measuring, thinking, re-measuring and thinking about the canopy frame position. Finally gave up and decided to call Bill Roope for help but haven't heard back from him. I'm afraid to make a mistake since the measurements I have are substantially wider than what are in the plans. So, I decided to move on to the next section of the manual. Positioned and drilled to size the holes for the engine mount. Looks pretty good and only took me about a half hour. Then put in the main landing gear legs and bolted them in. The right side went in very easy but the left side was very difficult and took me over an hour to get it lined up correctly so I could get the bolt in. I had trouble getting the right leg out when I drilled the hole last year and I think the gear tube assembly must be slightly out of round, which isn't really an issue but I hope I never have to take the left gear leg out again. It's good to be back working on it after a four month layoff.
