Brief Description:  FAB controls, prop extension, fuel pump overflow

Installed Filtered Air Box permanently. Installed control for carb heat according to instructions, very easy actually. Then installed control for Filtered Air Box bypass door. Also fairly easy and both controls function very well. Then installed carb heat muff and tubing to the FAB.

Installed prop extension per directions from Sabre. First put on flywheel/starting ring plate and put alternator belt on but not tightened completely. Then placed prop extension and after cleaning all thread holes. Installed the 6 bolts with #242 Threadlocker. Torqued bolts to 43 lb/ft. (range was 40-45) in 10 lb/ft increments. Checked all torques and satisfied they are all at 43 lb/ft. Temporarily installed spinner backplate, prop, and crush plate not much more than finger tight to check fit and have it on for the trip to the airport.

Routed the fuel pump overflow tubing, drilled hole in firewall flange and secured tubing on lower engine mount tube with zip ties.

Good day in the garage.
