Learned last night after talking to Marc Ausman at Vertical Power that the company has been sold to someone else and that the VP-400 will no longer be supported. The offer was to remove the VP-400 and send back for a refund and then Marc will give me a VP-X for free. The only other option was to keep the unsupported VP-400 which would never have software updates or be able to be fixed. Decided to go with Marc's offer.
Began pulling out everything related to the VP-400 not used by the VP-X. Removed the GADAHRS and re-plumbed the pitot/static system. Removed the Display panel and the PDU. Removed all wiring no longer needed. Called it a day.
