Mounted the Dynon ADS-B 470 I received yesterday on the left hand middle subpanel facing aft. Used K1000-8 nutplates and #8 screws after riveting in nutplates. Mounted the Ack Audio Alert box with screws and nuts. Did the part I was dreading...cutting a hole in my new panel for the Hobbs meter. Measured off where I wanted it placed and marked lines on the panel front. Drilled small 1/16" holes in the corners first. Then used the Dremel with the metal cutting wheel and cut the opening for the meter. It went much better than I thought it would. Had to use hand files to enlarge the opening to fit and then final sanded the opening for smoothness. Placed the Hobbs in the opening and drilled the two mounting holes with a 9/64" bit. Deburred the holes and did the final assembly using the supplied hardware. Good enough progress for today.
