Brief Description: Top VS fairing, Antenna locations
Had to remove VOR mounting brackett because I forgot to dimple holes for screws in the VS skin where the fairing attaches. Dimpled skins for 3 #6 screws on each side. Located, drilled holes and riveted flush rivets on the fairing for #6 nutplates. Blind riveted VOR antenna mounting bracket back on. Determined location transponder antenna, drilled pilot holes, and then to final size on bottom of cockpit on the right side. Fabricated doubler plate (.040) for final assembly. Located VHF whip antenna on left side on bottom of cockpit for COM1 radio. Drilled pilot holes and then to final size. Fabricated doubler plate (.040) for final assembly. Determined location for marker beacon antenna, measured and drilled pilot holes and then to final size. Fabricated doubler plate (.032) for final assembly. Packed all antennas back in their boxes for now.
