Taxied airplane over the 2 Bums Aircraft, Inc where Nathan and Chris did a fantastic job of weighing airplane and measuring moment arms. Airplane came in at 1879 pounds.
I then taxied to fuel pumps and leveled airplane. Has fuel pumped into empty pilot side tank 2 gallons at a time till 10 gallons were reached. I marked the sight guage at each 2 gal increment. After that we pumped in 5 gal at a time, marking the sight guage each time. Pilot side capacity is 43.3 gallons.
Taxied back to my hangar where I leveled airplane again. I emptied CP tank. I siphoned known quantities out of pilot tank and poured into CP tank, marking sight guage each time. CP tank filled at 43.8 gal.
I then calibrated each fuel sender so that they now indicate correct fuel quantity.
