Cleaned up pilot seat hard points. Put copilot seat together. With both seats in and full back, I noticed the pilot seat was higher than cp. This was certainly counter to my intent of giving me the most headroom possible. This was caused by the seat pan being mounted too far forward on the rail. I could get the seat lower by placing the bottom pan further back on the rail. One concern was that the seat might be cantilevered too much. After discussions with Duane Swing, I decided to reinforce the bottom with carbon fiber. I laid up 2, 4 inch strips on top of pan and 2, 2" strips on bottom of pan. This moved the seat quite a bit further back. However, it is still forward enough for me. I decided to leave the hard points where they are for now.
