There is about a 1/2 inch gap between the upper and lower cowls between the spinner hole and exhaust holes. In addition, on the upper cowling this area is very thin. Also a gap need to be filled between the cowling and spiner in this area. These problems were all solved by taping up the inside of the spinner plate and wrapping 5 bid around this entire area where the bid goes about 2 inches onto each cowling and comes all the way around past the spinner and exhaust holes.
Also did my usual fine job (not!) of microing the low spots of the cowling.
