Removed prop and backplate. Drilled backplate for installation of nutplates. Countersunk rivet holes. Sanded backplate in prep for priming.
Mounted AveoMaxx landing light in landing light holder. Had to move landing light mounting bracket aft about 1.5 inches in order to mount the light forward to accomodate the retracted nosewheel. This forward movement also helped improve illumination. Aft movement of bracket was facilitated with the use of spacers made of 1/4 in aluminum tubing. Also fabricated a large aluminum "washer" to strengthen mounting. See photo 2 below.
