Brief Description: Tweaking Gear retraction system
More tweaking of gear retraction system. Found that hydraulic pump chattered after gear extention. Thought problem might be in nose gear cylinder so I isolated that component from system. Chatter remained. Turned down pressure switch down about 2 1/2 turns and that seems to have alleviated problem.
Installed a wide area washer between stopnut and rod on main gear cylinder so that the wig wag device would wig wag all the way through retraction. Also, adjusted length of spacer on main gear rod so that main gear would retract all the way until both tires touched upper strake. This will cause the gear doors to be recessed slightly but we will address that later.
Nose gear closing was tweaked by moving the nylon roller as aft as possible and shortening the pilot side rod a little. Nose gear door closing is working very well now.
