Worked on lower aileron torque tube again today. The fitting and movement was verified and I began “permanently” installing the torque tube, brackets, pushrod, etc with the correct locking nuts. After tightening down the pushrod I noticed a very slight binding at the extreme left aileron position. It was caused by interference between the push rod jam nut and bell crank of the upper torque tube. I will put an additional spacer washer between the pushrod end and bell crank tomorrow to pull the jam nut away from the crank.
