First day fabricating the firewall forward kit. Begain by installing the battery. The bracket that holds the battery down doesn't actually touch the top of the battery which makes me think the two spacers I made are just a little too long. I sent a short email to Van's to confirm that they should be shortened.
Otherwise, I proceeded to install four electical hardware items to the firewall and torqued almost all the bolts. One of them is too tight for the socket to fit, so I'll have to buy a crows foot attachment for the torque wrench.
Finally, began attaching the wires to the battery itself per the plans.
