Brief Description:  Completed Canopy Fitting

Proceeded to complete several more steps in the fitting of the canopy to the fuselage. Had Spencer help out by sitting inside the aircraft with a wood block as I match drilled the sides of the canopy to the canopy skirt and attach angles. Also added the two railing attach parts on each side. Overall the fit is very tight as the canopy skirt and outside skins rub on each other. I'll wait until the canopy skirt is final riveted before slightly bending the lower edge outwards to avoid getting caught onto the fuselage skin.

Fabricated the the canopy latch system by using the drill press to ensure well done match drilling of the two parts. Will decide later if I will further mill the outside handle as the plans suggest is an option. Looks like it would take some time to make it look good.

Completed drilling all the holes in the canopy itself and then countersunk the holes in the leading edge. Done with the canopy itself for now, and put it up in the loft. Then went ahead and deburred and cleaned up the canopy frame. Put it into my car to bring to paintshop.
