Brief Description:  Fit canopy to frame

Spent what was a longer day than it felt working on properly fitting the canopy to the frame on the aircraft. Finished the day with a good fit. Was able to open and close the canopy even with it just clecoed to the frame. Needed to shave off just a bit more of the canopy on the front edge to open it, which cost me an hour to fix later in the day. Will get Spencer to help me tomorrow match drill the side angle to the canopy with him sitting inside.

Fit was good on sides but the frame names to be pulled out just a bit for a snug full down closing. I am hoping the additional hardware on the inside rails will allow me to force the frame down more easily as the skirt skin rubs/catches on the side skin now. As for the bubble fit to the back window, it is very good on the left side but there is a small 1/16" gap between the two edges on the right side of the aircraft. What was amazing to me was how difficult it was to make the left and right sides perfectly symetrical. Despite the well punched kit parts, its a human being putting it together and eventually small errors along with way add up. All and all it looks really good and only someone building an aircraft ( and a pefectionist) would notice the small gaps here and there.
