Brief Description: Additonal work on upper fuselage parts
Enamal paint on parts for oil tank all seem adequate so I added nutplates to both battery mount angles. Added high temp silicone to all the seams on the upper and lower firewalls. Will add silicone to the interior of the firewall next to ensure a good seal.
Attached F-1202N L/R forward skin stiffeners to the fuselage.
Countersunk some attach holes on the 1202-H canopy ribs and dimpled the screw holes. Also attached the nutplate and F1202-Y strut attach angles to the ribs.
Pulled both the F-1240 upper fuse skin and the F-1202B Panel Base from storage and began deburring both parts. Dimpled all the holes on the upper skin. Temporarily attached the Panel Base to the fuselage and match drilled it to the longerons. Match drilled the canopy rib and attach angles to the panel base as well.
