I think the best thing to do is throw the instructions away on this one. The spacers are to hold the screws off the face. I had some of these spacers so I ground them down to close to 70 and went with it. They came out a lot better. The hole on the bottom pic is the one I am talking about. You don't need to cut the bottom part of it off.
