Okay,, I have to update again,, gear legs... crap!! Okay, spent the better part of a day lining them up. I've gotten them lined up as per plans,, drill a hole, sure enough something has moved. Re-line up, drill some more.. okay not so bad. I'm within the 1/4 inch tolerance on the fore and aft (measured to the tail) but a little off at the gear legs themselves. shims!!! they work as this apparently is a common thing. One thing for others .. make sure the bend in the F804 bends out towards the ground and not against the fuse... (pic to follow),, I've had to take them apart again.... geez. I will be cutting the gear towers and doing the mod as per http://www2.mstewart.net:8080/super8/geartower/index.htm Kahuna is well respected and has had zero problems with his mod. Going to make reassembling everything so much easier... now off to the chiropractor :)
