I have been derilect on updating the log over the past few days. I added carbon fiber, sanded it off, added carbon fiber, etc. Finally I got the gaps sealed and the thickness sanded down. It looks good. I also installed my fabricated piece to go over the canopy rail. It also turned out well. I also installed a handle to initially raise the canopy. Some canopies seem to raise easier. Mine fits snug but it seals well. I decided to go ahead and install a handle. It just needs a slight lift and moves smoothly. I purchased this sleek aerodynamic handle from Lowes.
I messed up my C-679 slide rail seal. I will have to purchase another one from Vans. My goal was to totally finish the canopy before moving on to install the engine. This slide rail seal will just have to wait until my next order to Vans.
