I started by sanding down the edges of the plexiglass. I used 120, 220 and then 400 grit sandpaper. I then put the canopy frame back into the canopy and laid out the pinstriping tape. I used 3M Vinyl Tape 471+. I bought it at an automotive paint supply store. I followed it up with electrical tape and then filled in the open area with a heavy plastic trash bag.
I then cleaned the area to be primed with alcohol. I started sanding the cleaned area with a fine grit sandpaper but ran out of time. Tomorrow is another day.
