Brief Description: Right fiberglass gear fairing installed
I epoxied on the right fiberglass gear fairing over my carbon fiber layup. I mixed the epoxy with microballons for a filler. I wetted the inside of the fairing and the outside of the gear leg and installed the fiberglass fairing. I ran two strings around the fairing back to the rear hooks that I installed in the previous step. I twisted the fairing so that the trailing edges (top and bottom) was in the middle of the strings. This assured that the fairing is inline with the aircraft. I used metal clips to hold the trailing edge together. When I do the left side I will not use the fast setting epoxy. This takes longer that one would think. Had to work fast.
