Brief Description: Instrument Panel ready for painting
Today I got the instrument panel ready for painting. I finished fabricating and installing F7103 parts, match drilling them to the instrument panel, installing all of the nutplates and the air vent brackets. Now I just have to wait for the weather to clear for painting. I plan to paint the panel flat black and wait a few days for it to thoroughly dry. Steinair is going to laser etch the panel lettering and fill them in with white paint.
The panel portion below the throttle quadrant is for Dynon's Skyview Knob Control Panel. These are positioned close to where my hand will be resting on my leg. These knobs (heading, altitude and barometric) will be used frequently so they were positioned in the most accessible area.
