I started working on the center tunnel. I received my duplex Andair valve today. Here is a tip for anyone that wishes to purchase on of these expensive valves. Aircraft Spruce sells it for $622 plus shipping. I bought it straight from Andair in England. Total cost shipped to my house was $390.
I ordered a few of the parts from Vans for the center tunnel. I had to fabricate the front spar cover so that the other parts for the RV-7A would fit. This cover will also protect the fuel lines. I have the parts placed loosely in place. Tomorrow I will drill and install plate nuts. I need to get these parts laid out at this time so that I can install the Andair valve and run the fuel lines from the wings to the valve.
Once I get these fuel lines run to the wings so that I can move to remove the wings once a few other items are completed. Those are installing the wing root fairings and I believe that I will complete the main gear fairings prior to removing the wings. The sooner that I can get the wings removed I can reposition the fuselage and have more manuvering room in the shop.l
