I am modifying the Van's bracket to work with the EFII system. I will be posting some more pictures of this modification shortly. For now I have to make some modifications to this bracket.
First I cut off the end of the bracket that held the mixture control. This part of the bracket will also limit accessiblity to the two manifold pressure taps.
On the bottom of the bracket shown in picture "Bracket ready for reinforcement" there was an 1/2" leg down that had to be removed. It was interfering with the throttle cable. Future posts will clarify this. I will be adding a strongback down the center of this bracket. That will be tommorrow if everything goes as planned.
I also had to increase the ID of the hole where the air flows through. The EFII was about 3/36" larger in diameter. A metal cutting bit followed by a sanding disc opened the hole up perfectly matching the EFII throttle body.
