I read that some have had wear issues where the air filter meets the fiberglass in the bottom of the air cleaner. Installed an aluminum wear plate in the bottom that is epoxied in with cotton flox mixed in. Put some tabs around the edges to prevent the filter from moving out when compressed.
Installed Van's intake air gasket on the air cleaner. There is a 1/4" gap between the air filter box and the cowling.
