I am starting to work on lowering the left flap hinge. I lowered it and now my flap rod will not insert due to the hole in the aileron bracket does not line up with the hinge line. To modify the hole in the bracket requires me to remove the aileron. That is when I discovered that the wires going to the aileron trim motor require the removal of the the wing tip. I do not wish to have to remove the wing tip to remove the aileron. I plan to paint over the wing tip mounting screws. I will be removing the control surfaces when I paint the aircraft and I need for the wing tip to remain mounted. I will be looking into this tommorow.
