I finished the left wing tip today. The new can of clear coat worked perfectly. Nice mirror finish. I almost finished the right. Had a problem with one of the nut plates and had to redo. I had to do a small fiberglass repair and I am going to let it set all night and should not take 30 minutes to finish tomorrow.
Started working on the flaps. I am having to adjust several parts of the flap. The flap was scraping on the aileron pushrod. Trimmed the flap. The bottom side of the flap next to the fuselage had to have an offset bend put into it to set properly to the fuselage. I measured, bent and will install tomorrow.
The plans do not call out how to fix the flap hinge pin. I decided after consulting with Carl that I will put an "L" bend on the end of the pin. It will be inserted through the hole in the aileron bracket and then I will safety wire it through two small holes that I drilled into the aileron hinge.
