Brief Description:  EN-I is ALIVE

Last week we did the fiberglass around the canopy. A messy job, but not all that bad. While it will tak a little fill and sanding (thanks Hangar 6 for jumping in here,) it isn't all that bad. I did mess up the paint on the front deck. I forgot you shouldn't use a Sharpie on paint. My bad.

Anyway, most things fell into place. All the avionics worked (except the autopilots, which we are going to install later.) The radio works. We added oil and coolant and just ran out of excuses not to start the thing. So... on Friday, June 22, 2012, at around 3PM, EN-I started like a charm. Two blades at most, and she ran. Problems? There was this lesson about sealant on the gascolator plugs, and how to properly tighten fuel fittings. Except for that, none.

I am reserving a spot in the pictures for one of the first start. Many were taken, but none by my camera. I was busy at the time...

I think there was considerable pride, and all justified. BTW, do you understand pride? It is Personal Responsibility In Daily Efforts. There is more of that going around!
