This covers three sessions, and we are not working today (Sept 15.) We had 9 students last week, and 8 Tuesday the 13th. We have 4 new freshmen.
The session on the 10th was disorganized because I didn't realize we would need more mentors with the increased number of inexperienced builders. Tuesday we called more. We also assigned the new students to work on the flaperons, a relatively quick project. This allows them to learn the basics while working in a separate group, and to finish something fairly quickly. That is good motivation.
Assembly of the firewall began. It went well. Having access to a verticl mill made making the flaperon brackets quick, and very accurate.
It appears we will be needing (and getting) the finish kit soon. Contact us if you would like to donate to this worthwhile project.
