Brief Description:  Alodine 1201

My personal choice is Alodine 1201 with Alumiprep 33 on internal spaces. I plan to operate in and around Florida. That environment demands something more than the pure aluminum coating on the surface of the parts. I am also concerned about the joint and holes where the aluminum alloy is exposed and in positions to trap oil or water. I also wanted to keep electrical continuity between the structure parts. I also have to keep weight down on my tail because of a tendency of aft weight and balance issues because of my planned engine prop combination.

Although Alodine 1201 gives great corrosion protection, it scratches easily and is not designed for fuel soaked areas. With this in mind, I plan to use some form of epoxy primer in my wings and cockpit area.
