I have been looking for an airplane that I could build for less than 10k and fly across the USA. I first saw Bruce King's BK1 at the 2005 Southwest Regional Fly in. Bruce let me sit in his airplane and I was very impressed. I still was not completely sold until I saw that Bruce took his plane to the 2005 Oshkosh Fly in. This meant a lot to me, because he has not only built his own airplane, but also got in it and did what a lot of general aviation owners will not do. This is exactly the type of aircraft and builder I wanted to work with.
