Brief Description: Test Fit Seat Belt Fitting Hardware and Prep Sande
I test fit the screws for attaching the seat belt fittings. I ended up using the next size longer screw than the plans call out to avoid counterboring too deep into the longerons. I am also going to use a washer under the nuts which the plans don't call out. After I was happy with all the hardware fit I prep sanded the 7 ply layup pads where the fittings will be bonded/bolted. I also ran a tap part way through the nuts. Past experience with this type of nut is that the locking feature is so strong that it is tough to torque against a phillips head screw.
