Brief Description: Prep Sanded Main Landing Gear Bow
Unwrapped my landing gear bow and nose strut from Featherlite. The struts were taped together for shipping with duct tape. I cleaned the tape residue off the struts with acetone.
Sanded the main struct with 80 grit on my DA. The plans call for 36 or 40 grit. I went to Space Age Paint Supply and got some 36 and 40 disks for my DA. I then used the 36 grit on the strut which made pretty quick work of de-glossing the strut.
Sanding the S-Glass proved very itchy. Next time I will go full coverage clothes and gloves!
