Brief Description: Seat Belt doubler Install and Layups
I pre-pregged up some 2 ply BID on the bias and cut the peices for the layups. I made a cardboard pattern to mark the layup sizes. The last ply was a single ply to make seven. I cut the plys pairs progressively a little smaller for each ply pair to soften the edge of the layups. Peel ply was added over the edges of further smooth the transition. This worked great and resulted in some nice looking work. The plywood was precoated with pure resin and bedded down with medium wet flox. The predrilled holes in the longeron were filled with clay to prevent resin from getting in them. I will be using the longeron holes to back drill the doublers after the layups cure.
