The LH side seat back bulkhead oval cut out as shown in Chapter 4 does not allow the landing gear bolt to install from the hell hole side (which it has to). The RH side cut-out does allow for bolt clearance. The plans just tell you to hack away at it later. I decided to go at it a little more gracefully for some reason. I use a cheap 22 cal borescope laser pointer to mark the bolt centerline on the backside of the seatback. I had to wrap a bunch of black tape around the laser body to get the diameter up to a snug fit in the landing gear fitting. I then took the bulkhead to the drill press and set the table at 45 degrees. I drilled a small hole through the bulkhead to transfer the bolt centerline to the forward face of the bulkhead. I then sketched an oval on both faces centered on the two small holes and then hacked away. The resulting cut-out is shown in pictures 3 and4 after packing with micro and sanding smooth (not counted in the 1.5 hrs).
