Brief Description: Landing Gear Attach Brackets - Alodine and Bushing
I alodined the four brackets today using Alumi-prep 33 to clean the parts followed by Alodine 1201 conversion coating. These came out great! Best results I have ever achieved with Alodine. Possibly because I read and followed the directions exactly. I used the immersion technique using disposible plastic containers for the baths.
After alodining I used a hydraulic press to install the steel bushings.
DONE FINALLY - I spent about 22.5 hrs working on these brackets. The Cozy Girls sell the set for $350. Doing the math (subtracting out $40 for the materials) I paid myself about $13.75/hr to make these. You do the math, might have been a good BUY part!
